Trevor Noah “Scared the Life Outta Beyonce” at Grammys
What’s better than being in the same space as Beyonce? Why, being part of a meme with Beyonce!
South Africa’s own Trevor Noah was able to do both after hosting the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards last night, Sunday 14 March, at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California.
After Beyonce picked up her fourth Grammy award for the night – winning “Rap Song of the Year” alongside Megan Thee Stallion for their collaborative track, “Savage” – the duo attempted to leave the stage.
However, they were stopped by Noah, who announced that Beyonce – who now has 28 Grammys to her name – is tied with Alison Krauss for the all-time record of most show wins by a female artist.
Needless to say, fans had a field-day with the seemingly surprised expression that the songstress wore as Noah spoke.
One Twitter user wrote: “When Trevor Noah stops them from leaving the stage and Beyonce just standing there … she wanted to LEAVE [sic].”
Another remarked: “Trevor scared the life outta Beyonce. I’m still screaming.”
Congrats to the Queen Bee, and a job well done to Noah for keeping Mzansi’s flag waving high!
